WELCOME ADDRESS

The 13th Robotic-Assisted Microsurgical and Endoscopic Society (RAMSES) 2025
**Theme: Inspire the Next**
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
The 13th Robotic-Assisted Microsurgical and Endoscopic Society (RAMSES) will be held on October 14-15, 2025 in Kagoshima City, Japan. This year's theme is "Inspire the Next; Bringing a New Wind to the Next Generation". Our goal is to share new technologies in robotic microsurgery and their research results to inspire the next generation.
When you look at the RAMSES 2025 poster, doesn't it remind you of a scene from a movie?
In 1982, when I was 20 years old, director Steven Spielberg released the science fiction film *E.T.* worldwide, featuring the iconic scene of fingers touching. This scene is widely recognized as a symbol of friendship and understanding between humans and future beings. By incorporating this scene into the RAMSES 2025 poster, we emphasize the importance of collaboration between technology and human hands in the field of robotic surgery.
The future of medicine begins the moment technology and the human hand connect, and this intertwining of technology and humanity will bring a new wind to the next generation. At RAMSES 2025, experts who will lead the next generation will gather in Japan to share knowledge and experience, fostering an environment where everyone can grow together. We sincerely hope that this conference will be meaningful for all participants seeking new inspiration.
We look forward to seeing you in Kagoshima, Japan!
